This new release includes a number of extension and improvements of the Windows Interface and Simulation Engine. Most important are listed hereunder.
Windows Interface
- View of external links - To view data relations between Unit Operations and Logical Operations
- Graph drawing has been completely changed and updated - Data export to Excel available
- Heat and material balance view added. To browse all stream results in one view
- Notes and Remarks feature completeted. User can add notes and remarks to his problem
Simulation Engine
- Distillation column simulation extended to an unlimited number of trays
- Chemical reaction available for vessel depressurization to simulate fugitive reactions
- Continuous feed and drawoff feature added to vessel depressurization to simulate HIPPS actions
- A new correlation (2FLUIDM) for two-phase flow in pipelines is now available -
see next paragraph for more details
- Erosional velocity calculation (API RP14E) available in PIPELINE units
- New graphs generated from pipeline simulations for easier flow assurance analysis
2FLUIDM - Two Fluid Model
This new correlation has been developed on the basis of latest publications about multiphase flow in pipes
It incorporates both mechanistic two-fluid and drift-flux models. It supplements existing correlations and
can be used for steady state calculations of multiphase flows in pipelines for
horizontal, inclined and vertical configurations.
