Release date: April 26, 2011
This release includes a number of extension and improvements of the Windows Interface and Simulation Engine and are listed hereunder.
The most important is the inclusion of the Dynamic Simulation Option as a 'beta' test product.
A. SIMULATION ENGINE
Service Packs and corrections issued along last year (2010) as modifications of the 1.08 version have been incorporated and consolidated.
In addition the following new features are available.
PVT Analysis
• The optimization function has been extended to include the SEP (Test Separator) experiment.
Oil densities supplied in this experiment can be used to optimize the parameters for the calculation of liquid density.
• The VISC (Viscosity Data) experiment is now available.
• Viscosity optimization can now be performed with the ELYHAN model.
• A SCALE option that can be applied to a range of components can now be used.
B. WINDOWS USER INTERFACE
The following features are added to improve usability.
Negative Flows in Networks
After a network simulation, it is possible to identify streams that have a reverse flow.
They can be hi-lighted on the PFD window with a different color..
Results windows
A button has been added to the tool-bar.
By pressing this button all the open result windows which can prevent a new calculation are brought to the top and made visible.
This supplements the ”Other windows …” command
Graphs
Some additional options for customization have been added.
C. DYNAMIC SIMULATION
This new XPSIM version include a Dynamic Simulation Option as a ‘test-product’.
Though this new feature is at an initial stage of development and has limitations,
however it could be used to set up and solve some transient engineering problems.
This option allows the user to define interactive dynamic simulations and browse generated values.
Features are described in two draft manuals included in the installation package :
