Release date: June, 29 2018
This version is developed for x64-based PC running Windows 7 or Windows 10 operating systems
Development of dynamic simulation of multiphase PIPELINE units has been completed as a first version. A number of examples will be published soon
A. SIMULATION ENGINE
All the modifications and correction issued for the 2.03 version have been incorporated and consolidated. In addition to other minor extensions, the following new main features are available
Thermodynamics
The W-HENRY model has been included with the purpose to simulate air-water systems. These are found in the dynamic simulation of flow-loops and in engineering operations such as pipeline drying.
In the VLECURVE function, plotting of phase properties such as density, enthalpy and entropy has been added.
Equation of state GERG-2008 (an extension of the GERG-2004 equation) has been implemented. For this equation, the calculation of equilibrium k-values has been added.Unit Operations
In the PIPELINE simulation, a vapor-liquid 2-phase flow NOSLIP model is now available. This model can be of help in various cases such as the initialization of dynamic simulations..
B. WINDOWS USER INTERFACE
Graphs
C. DYNAMIC SIMULATION
The Dynamic Simulation Option has been extended and is available through the standard ‘Windows User Interface’.
These capabilities are managed by the new "Windows User Interface" which allows the user to define interactive dynamic simulations and browse generated values.
The dynamic simulation option allows the user to define interactive dynamic simulations and browse/plot generated values. The display of dynamic changes of pipeline profiles is now available.
Since EVENT definitions have been extended, a summary display of event sequences has been introduced.
These features are described in the dynamic simulation manual included in the installation package.
